Welcome to my blog!

Hello and thanks for stopping by! I'm a mama to my two sweet kiddos, Adalyn who is 2 and my new baby boy Mason. I started blogging after Adalyn was born as a way to write down memories for her to be able to look back at and ended up printing my first year's blog into a book so my babies have their childhood memories documented forever. By day, I'm a physical therapist. By night and weekend, I'm a loving wife to my husband Scott and a totally in love mama to my dear babies and the center of my world, Adalyn Rose and Mason Scott, along with our two furbabies. When I found out I was pregnant I knew I would "try" breastfeeding. Now that they are here, I'm a breastfeeding, babywearing, extended rearfacing, part-time co-sleeping, babyfood making, constantly researching mama. Some people call it crunchy... I call it living better for them... A little at a time! And this is our story...

38 weeks pregnant

Well here I am. 38 weeks pregnant. I can't believe how fast it's gone... I'm feeling a bit more prepared now that Mason's room is mostly complete and all of his laundry is done and put away in his closet. His room is so cute so far, and I'm loving that we decided to do an ocean theme with sharks and fish, especially since his Daddy has such a love for sharks!

No real labor signs yet. I get a contraction here and there, but nothing consistent. Not sure how to feel about this, although with Adalyn's pregnancy I had never had a contraction (other than the preterm labor) and woke up in the middle of the night in full blown labor. I'm hoping Mr. Mason decides to come on his own soon so that we can avoid an induction!

At my appointment last week, baby M's heartrate was still strong and steady and he seemed to have turned to a head down position, although the shape my belly takes on sometimes makes me wonder if he really is completely head down or if he hasn't moved again since then.

I'm feeling tired and sore and oh so very pregnant. The next two weeks (fingers crossed its less) can't go soon enough. I'm at that typical "I'm completely over being pregnant" phase and am so so ready to hold my baby boy!!
