It's been awhile since I blogged about this pregnancy. For awhile, everything I wrote about how I was feeling during this pregnancy was just plain depressing. Well, the good news is, this pregnancy has done an about-face! I feel fantastic. I even feel "glowing" at moments. I'm a bit over 25 weeks and cannot believe how fast this time is flying by. Little man will be here before we know it.
Heartburn has returned and by returned I mean I get heartburn from drinking water, taking vitamins, or just sitting here doing nothing at all. I had it miserably with Adalyn too, and let me tell you, the wives tale that heartburn equals a full head of hair is not always true. I'm counting on another bald baby this time around.
My Mason monkey's little kicks are growing in force and frequency and I'm relishing every single one. I especially love the pokes and somersaults where I can really feel him moving around in there. It is truly the most amazing feeling in the world. Especially exciting, is that Adalyn is also noticing that Mason is on the move! Today was an amazing moment in my life.... I think I will remember this moment forever!! ♥ Addy has been very into baby today, asking to see and kiss my belly. She put both hands on my bare belly, then to my surprise laid her head down on me. A few moments later, Mason offered her his first "Hi big sister" with a swift kick! You should have seen the shocking look on her face!!! I wish I had been able to catch it with my camera. Priceless...
All of our ultrasounds have looked great, with little guy's heartrate right around 140. We're so thrilled to think that in just less than 15 quick weeks we'll be holding our little man in our arms and falling in love all over again....
Welcome to my blog!
Hello and thanks for stopping by! I'm a mama to my two sweet kiddos, Adalyn who is 2 and my new baby boy Mason. I started blogging after Adalyn was born as a way to write down memories for her to be able to look back at and ended up printing my first year's blog into a book so my babies have their childhood memories documented forever. By day, I'm a physical therapist. By night and weekend, I'm a loving wife to my husband Scott and a totally in love mama to my dear babies and the center of my world, Adalyn Rose and Mason Scott, along with our two furbabies. When I found out I was pregnant I knew I would "try" breastfeeding. Now that they are here, I'm a breastfeeding, babywearing, extended rearfacing, part-time co-sleeping, babyfood making, constantly researching mama. Some people call it crunchy... I call it living better for them... A little at a time! And this is our story...
So glad you are feeling better and can start enjoying the pregnancy for what it is, a beautiful miracle! And, bald babies are super cute, too-but maybe I am biased :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved it when Eden kissed my belly, best feeling in the entire world! He will be here before you know it! Much love@!
