Welcome to my blog!

Hello and thanks for stopping by! I'm a mama to my two sweet kiddos, Adalyn who is 2 and my new baby boy Mason. I started blogging after Adalyn was born as a way to write down memories for her to be able to look back at and ended up printing my first year's blog into a book so my babies have their childhood memories documented forever. By day, I'm a physical therapist. By night and weekend, I'm a loving wife to my husband Scott and a totally in love mama to my dear babies and the center of my world, Adalyn Rose and Mason Scott, along with our two furbabies. When I found out I was pregnant I knew I would "try" breastfeeding. Now that they are here, I'm a breastfeeding, babywearing, extended rearfacing, part-time co-sleeping, babyfood making, constantly researching mama. Some people call it crunchy... I call it living better for them... A little at a time! And this is our story...

"1st's" are usually reasons to celebrate...

Your first smile. Your first time rolling and crawling. Your first food. Your first words. Your first time pulling up to stand. Your first tooth. 1st's are usually reasons to celebrate!

Until you get to the first time you have to leave your baby overnight! Daddy and I were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary and Daddy's great college friend was getting married, all in the same weekend. Nana and Great-grand "Nanny" came up to stay with you for the night. You were a doll for them! You ate like a champ, slept like a champ and got spoiled with walks and some fun time playing in the sand at the beach at our lake.

I checked in on you with your Nana twice, but found everytime I called her to find out how you were doing it just made me miss you even more. So once you were in bed and sleeping, I decided it best to have a good time, knowing you were in excellent hands and having a great time with them! Daddy and I had a fun time that night dancing and catching up with friends. We did though, we have to admit, spend a few minutes at our table going through our camera looking at all the pictures of you... amazed at how much you have grown over the past few months! We love you dearly, little one.

The next morning, when we woke up in a hotel room, in a strange bed, away from home and without you close by we both had the same first thought. "Let's get going so we can get home to see the bear." Addybear, when we got home you had the biggest smile on your face and after we all took a good nap, we spent the rest of the day playing, giggling, cuddling and getting big wet kisses from you. What a welcome home!

We love you Addybear!
Love,
Mama and Dada
