Welcome to my blog!
Hello and thanks for stopping by! I'm a mama to my two sweet kiddos, Adalyn who is 2 and my new baby boy Mason. I started blogging after Adalyn was born as a way to write down memories for her to be able to look back at and ended up printing my first year's blog into a book so my babies have their childhood memories documented forever. By day, I'm a physical therapist. By night and weekend, I'm a loving wife to my husband Scott and a totally in love mama to my dear babies and the center of my world, Adalyn Rose and Mason Scott, along with our two furbabies. When I found out I was pregnant I knew I would "try" breastfeeding. Now that they are here, I'm a breastfeeding, babywearing, extended rearfacing, part-time co-sleeping, babyfood making, constantly researching mama. Some people call it crunchy... I call it living better for them... A little at a time! And this is our story...

Disappointing baby appointment...
Well, my check-up for baby Mason didn't go fantastically this week. I'm sure it's my hormones running wild making me feel so negative about the news, but irregardless... I'm seriously bumming. First off, I was scheduled for my appointment on Monday over my lunch break. I got there and the doctor was running 2 hours behind so I had to reschedule. My emotions ran wild and I practically left there in tears disgusted at a physician's ability to keep people waiting that long. I never leave my patient's wait for me, afterall, what makes her so special? I held off the tears until I got to my car and called Scott to air my grievances about the doctor's lack of respect for her patients. I was, luckily, squeezed in for an appointment yesterday and saw the midwife. Good news is baby's heart beat is strong as ever in the 150's and baby is super active. The bad news is baby is still in an oblique position. He is taking his sweet time moving into birthing position. I'm completely freaking out as my time before labor is dwindling and I want to avoid a c-section at all costs. I did what every educated medical professional tells you not to do. I went to Google. I ran a search for "baby oblique at 37 weeks" and while it said that it is possible for babies to move into position before d-day, often at this point there isn't much change in their position because they don't have much wiggle room, resulting in a necessary c-section. I just want to cry. I want to cry alot. Hoping Mr. Mason decides to do some acrobatics in there soon and get where he needs to be. I just can't imagine 6 weeks post delivery not being able to pick up Adalyn and being home alone with two babes. I'm a ball of stress and nerves right now and can't shake the cloud hanging over me....
